NAFDAC Seals Warehouse Containing Expired Agrochemicals

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has uncovered and sealed the Purity Agro Chemical Center in Gboko, Benue State, containing 724 cartons of expired Patriarch agrochemicals.

The warehouse was found to contain 724 cartons of Patriarch agrochemicals being illegally revalidated with new shelf lives for distribution, along with various unregistered products such as Kris herbicide, E-Tong Reapon 800WG, Onion Texas, Tomato Chiloli, and Hot Pepper.

NAFDAC operatives have seized the expired and unregistered agrochemicals, and the facility has been secured. The owner of the company is currently at large, and efforts are ongoing to ensure his arrest.

NAFDAC has called on consumers to stay alert and report any suspicious products or activities to the nearest NAFDAC office to help safeguard public safety.
