Championship: Diri Rewards Bayelsa Wrestlers Who Won Medals
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has rewarded the state’s wrestlers who won medals at the 13th National Wrestling Classics, which took place last weekend at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex in Yenagoa, the state capital.
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has rewarded the state’s wrestlers who won medals at the 13th National Wrestling Classics, which took place last weekend at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex in Yenagoa, the state capital.

Bayelsa emerged as the overall winner of the wrestling championship, marking the third event sponsored by Governor Diri.




Each gold medalist received N500,000, the silver medalist received N200,000 and the bronze medalist received N100,000 each.
The 13th National Wrestling Classics attracted participants from all 36 states of the federation and provided an opportunity to discover young, talented wrestlers from Bayelsa.
