Amobi Ogah, Other Lawmakers Address Concerns of Citizens in South Africa

A delegation of Nigerian lawmakers, including Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, Rep. Tochukwu Okere, Chairman of House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, and other colleagues, attended a Town Hall meeting organized by the Nigerian Citizens Association South Africa (NICASA) in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The meeting provided a platform for the lawmakers to engage with Nigerian citizens living in South Africa and address concerns raised on various issues, including safety, ease of doing business, and general wellbeing. The lawmakers assured the citizens of positive actions by the relevant committees of the House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria, and appropriate engagements with other organs of government to address those concerns.

“We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Nigerian citizens living in South Africa,” said Hon. Ogah. “We will work tirelessly to address the concerns raised by our citizens and ensure that their rights are protected.”

The meeting was well-attended by Nigerian citizens living in South Africa, who appreciated the opportunity to engage with their lawmakers and express their concerns. The lawmakers also used the opportunity to educate the citizens on the efforts being made by the Nigerian government to address the challenges faced by Nigerians living in South Africa.

“We are pleased to see the Nigerian government taking proactive steps to address the concerns of its citizens living in South Africa,” said the President of NICASA. “We appreciate the efforts of the lawmakers and look forward to seeing positive changes in the lives of Nigerian citizens living in South Africa.”

The meeting was a success, and the lawmakers have pledged to continue engaging with Nigerian citizens living in South Africa to ensure that their concerns are addressed.
