RE: ‘Attempt to Sabotage our Hand Sanitizer’ – Thanna Cosmetic Factory Says

The Thanna cosmetic factory has refuted the claim by an Apex Socio-Political Organization in South-East, Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) that a brand of their sanitizer is fake and unhealthy.

This was contained in a press release made available to Newsleverage on Tuesday.

Read the statement below:

OFFICIAL RELEASE BY THANNA LIQU-CHEM PRODUCTS, MAKERS OF THANNA HAND SANITIZER – REFUTING COSEYL, SET TO LAUNCH ITS MULTI-MILLION COSMETIC FACTORY AFTER THE PANDEMIC

We hereby categorically and strongly deny all the accusations contained in the recent press statement released by one Apex Socio-Political Organization in South-East, Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) and published by Aba City Blog, who claims to be acting on behalf of non-indigenes in Aba South. The said allegations are not only untrue, they are malicious and scurrilous and a calculated attempt to sabotage the image of our brand, “Thanna Hand Sanitizer”.

Thanna Hand Sanitizer, proudly produced in Aba, has a National and International acceptability in household products, does not reduce the quality and essence of a sanitizer. The sanitizer was produced with Tea, Cabopon (Thickener), Aloe Vera Gel, Glycerin, Methanol, Isopropyl and Fragrance. Whilst that in itself has been produced to kill harmful germs and help keep hands soft, we found it more compelling to make it affordable for people to use against spread of germs during this pandemic.

It is important to clear that for us at Thanna, the pandemic presented an opportunity to launch the sanitizer, to not just protect people from harmful germs, but to also provide an affordable alternative to popular brands.

To this end and contrary to the allegations contained in the press statement release by Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), it is obvious to note that in such a trying time when a global sickness such as Covid-19 is ravaging the entire globe, and so much precautionary measures been set out by both Federal and State Governments to maintain personal hygiene, we therefore plead with members of this association not to indulge in blackmailing of our indigenous products just to score a cheap recognition before the public.

We therefore wish to use this medium to ask the group to sort out its grievances at the appropriate quarters and desist from parading lies against Thanna or face our legal team for publishing malicious and scurrilous articles against our product.

We pray that the pandemic ends soon and ask everyone to stay home, stay safe, avoid public gatherings, wash your hands and keep a social distance.

Attributable to Thanna Liqu-Chem Products.
