A suspected traffic robber has been arrested in connection with the daring theft of human hair extensions worth ₦20 million from a moving truck on the CMS-Marina Bridge in Lagos.

According to a statement by the Lagos State Police Command, officers from the Ebute-Ero Division acted swiftly on a tip-off and apprehended one of the culprits, identified as Austine, at the Marina car park under the bridge. The suspect reportedly sustained injuries while attempting to evade arrest by leaping from the bridge.

The incident occurred on April 25, 2025, when a criminal gang intercepted a truck in motion and stole a large sack filled with premium human hair products, an act the truck driver was unaware of at the time.

Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the alert and recovered the stolen goods from the injured suspect, who is currently receiving medical attention under police supervision.

A manhunt is ongoing to capture other members of the gang involved in the heist.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, assured the public of the Command’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property, urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
