Ahead of Anambra State supplementary election, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced that the election in Ihiala Local Government Area will start from 10 am to 4 pm.
The supplementary election was slated following the inconclusive election cited by INEC Returning Officer for the State, Professor Florence Obi, in the early hours of Monday.
She revealed that there was no election in Ihiala Local Government and so stated that November 9th will be the new date for the supplementary election.
In the collated results so far, the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, Prof. Charles Soludo, was leading after winning 19 out of 21 Local Governments in the State.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Valentine Ozigbo, follows in close second while the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Andy Uba follows in third place.
