Socialite Sesan Adelabu popularly known as Emirate has committed suicide after allegedly murdering his wife in the Alagbaka area of Akure in Ondo State on Friday.
It was gathered from a post by Ondo influencer @YemieFash that the Emirate petrol station owner took a sniper after committing the heinous act.
“Sad news from Akure: Popular socialite and petrol station owner, Sesan Adelabu, also known as Emirate, has allegedly murdered his wife. Tragically, he then took his own life by consuming sniper, a lethal insecticide. This devastating incident occurred in the Alagbaka area of Akure, the capital city of Ondo state. Adelabu was the owner of the Emirate filling stations in Akure. Both his body and that of his wife have been transported to the morgue.”

The reason for the devastating act is not yet known but their bodies have been deposited at the mortuary.
However, a source who confirmed the incident to People’s Gazette stated that the couple had not been on good terms for a long while.
“I can’t confirm what led to this, but I know the two of them had not been on good terms recently. It’s a sad one for us tonight, especially we members of his club,” he said.
