We are committed to Due Process – Otti Says

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti OFR, has restated his administration’s commitment to due process in handling the affairs of the State.

Governor Otti made this known on Saturday 14th September, 2024 at Seventh-Day Adventist Church Okpuihie District in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, during the Child Dedication/Thanksgiving Service of Miss Victory Chizurumoke Eze Nwaigburu, daughter of Dr. Benson K.O. Nwaigburu, Director General of Abia State Debt Management Office.

While responding to a request by the Traditional Rulers of the old Okporoahaba Ancient Kingdom to build the Okporoahaba-Umuoko road for them, the Governor said,

“Our Government is a Government that sticks to process. We don’t allow abuse of process”.

While taking note of the road, Governor Otti told Dr. Nwaigburu to keep reminding him about the road so that it can be captured in the budget, saying that, if it is not captured in the budget, it will be difficult to do it. He reminded the people that his administration met Abia roads in deplorable conditions and that he is fixing them one after another.

Speaking further, the Governor said that governance is about the welfare and happiness of the people. He disclosed that since he assumed office, his administration has been paying back debts incurred by previous administrations even without borrowing.

The Governor charged the congregation to remain steadfast in the lord and not allow anything to shake their Faith in Him.

The event attracted top Government officials.
