As predicted, women from Akwa Ibom State are protesting over the sheer allegation of Senate President Godswill Akpabio by the Senator representing Kogi Central District Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan over sexual harassment.
The women who trooped out en masse on Saturday stated that the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State was a dear son to them and would be protected from any allegation.
Speaking, one of the women was heard saying, “He’s a gold. He’s a special stone to us the women of Niger Delta. So we are telling Natasha to stop insulting our son. This is the first and the last for her to embarrass our son. And the women of Akwa Ibom State do not want that anymore.”
Adorning themselves in black, the women sang and shouted, “We no go gree” as they marched through the streets of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Meanwhile, cartoonist Mike Asuqwo predicted on Friday that groups will emerge with placards in support of the Senate President.
Recall that the wife of Senate President Ekaette Akpabio has dismissed the allegation of sexual harassment against her husband, Goodwill Akpabio, and sued Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for N250 billion in damages.
She maintained that her husband is the most disciplined man she knows and said she is ready to vouch for her husband as she was present when Natasha visited their home.
However, contrary to her claims, in July 2020, Joy Nunieh, the former acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, stated that she slapped the Senate President, who was then the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, over sexual harassment.
