Residents Catch HIV-Positive Man Sleep1ng with Pregnant Woman

An HIV-positive man identified as John Peter has been caught having sexual intercourse with a 7-month-old pregnant woman in Enugwu Agidi in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The man, who is a motorcycle operator known as Okada, was caught pants down with the woman in Enugu Agidi on Friday, 28th February 2025.

Reports revealed that the man had been intentionally sleeping with many women, both married, singles, widows and minors, to spread the virus.

According to the suspect, who hails from Cross River State but is based in Enugwu Agidi, Anambra State, the lady whom he was caught with has been having marital issues with her husband.

An eye witness revealed that the President General of the Community, Hon. Ebuka Onuorah, was alerted about the suspect by neighbours who have grown suspicious of his movement in recent times.

The PG mobilized some youths, and they caught him red-handed. He was taken to the local medical laboratory in Awka, where a rapid HIV test confirmed his positive status.

A source at the laboratory, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated, “The test was conclusive. He is indeed HIV positive, and this raises serious public health concerns for the community.”

The confirmation has heightened fears among residents.
