“I am overwhelmed seeing the calibre of the Club members here this evening and how they recognized and appreciated this my little effort even when I didn’t know what I was doing. To be honest, one day I only came here to eat something when I was travelling to the village (Igbere), with my Uncle Ezeogo Emeka “Ọlakwuru”.
After eating, I wanted to ease myself but I couldn’t find a suitable place. And as a member of Ikoyi Club Lagos, I know the kind of facility we have here in Lagos for this kind of activities. So when I saw the formal toilet, I asked my friend who was with me what he thinks with regards to our doing something about the toilet. Luckily for me also, my father (Chief Agu) was present that day. So I consulted with him too, and he said I should go ahead since I’m led to do that. To the Glory of God, that which we started we have been able to complete it”.
Dr Chima who was elated by how the Club members appreciated what he did also promised to renovate the dilapidated Pavilion the event was held into a more suitable edifice in honour of the current Club Chairman, Hon. Emma Nwabuko.
