Abia Director Arrested Over Forgery, Extortion of money from Students

A Director in the Abia State Ministry of Education, Mr Wogu Alozie have been arrested for collecting N500 from students in the State.

Mr Alozie who signed for Permanent Secretaries without the consent of the Permanent Secretary wrote letters to Primary and Secondary Schools mandating them to pay the said money.

According to the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prof. A.C.B. Agbazuere, he stated that Mr Alozie is currently with the police to unmask the syndicate.

Appalled at the incident, Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu warned that all those who pad salaries or hide under the cover of government to defraud people will meet the full wrath of the law.

GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Abia State Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D. is greatly appalled that one Wogu Alozie, a Director in the Ministry of Education wrote letters to Primary and Secondary Schools in the State, collecting ₦500 from every student without the approval of the Governor.

The said Wogu Alozie who signed for the Permanent Secretary without the consent of the said Permanent Secretary, has owned up to the illicit act and is presently with the Police to completely unmask the syndicate.

All those who pad salaries, hide under the cover of government to defraud people or engage in other forms of corruption are advised in their own interest to have a rethink or be prepared taste the sour waters of the law.
