For effective service delivery and restructuring, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has reduced the number of Ministries in the State from twenty-eight to sixteen.
Speaking on Thursday, Governor Lawal stated that the reduction is to meet his vision of a functional cabinet and also address the issue of cost in governance to provide dividends of democracy to the people of the State.
“As part of my administration’s drive to transform the civil service for greater productivity and effective service delivery as one of my key mandates, I assented to an executive order restructuring and reducing the number of our ministries from 28 to 16. This is done in line with my vision to have an optimally functional cabinet that will reduce the cost of governance and provide our people with the dividends of democracy.”
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to uplifting all sectors of the State’s economy and meeting his vision of a safe and secure State.
