Shocking! 18-Year-Old Woman Slits Husband’s Throat
Tragedy struck in the Farawa Quarters of Kano State in the early hours of Tuesday, as police arrested an 18-year-old woman, Saudat Jibril, for allegedly killing her husband, 30-year-old Salisu Idris.
Tragedy struck in the Farawa Quarters of Kano State in the early hours of Tuesday, as police arrested an 18-year-old woman, Saudat Jibril, for allegedly killing her husband, 30-year-old Salisu Idris.

According to a statement issued by the Kano State Police Command, the incident occurred around 12:35 am on May 6, 2025. Saudat Jibril is accused of slitting her husband’s throat with a sharp knife during a domestic altercation.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, said detectives were swiftly deployed to the scene following a distress report. The victim was rushed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The suspect is currently being held at the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Homicide Section, and will be charged with culpable homicide.
In the statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Commissioner of Police reiterated the Command’s zero-tolerance stance on violence and criminality, assuring that a thorough investigation will be carried out to ensure justice is served.
