In his lead opening remarks, Rt. Hon. Nkole addressed the forum on “A Global Security Agenda for Africa,” highlighting Africa’s escalating terrorism challenges, particularly the growing tensions between farmers and herders in Nigeria, which threaten regional stability and food security. He stressed the need for urgent action, drawing attention to Nigeria’s central role in the continent’s security landscape, given its large population and the global repercussions of instability in the country.
The plenary session highlighted the urgent
need to address lingering security issues for global peace and stability.
