Teachers Recruitment: Abia Govt Schedules CBT Examination, Assures Transparent Process

The ongoing teacher recruitment exercise in Abia State has advanced to its next stage, with shortlisted candidates scheduled to take a Computer-Based Test (CBT) on March 6th and 7th.

This development was disclosed by the Abia State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, who confirmed that the CBT exams would be held across the three Senatorial Zones of the state. He further assured the public that the recruitment process would be conducted with utmost transparency, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates progress to the final interview stage.

Providing additional details, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Elder Goodluck Ubochi, explained that the CBT centres would be distributed across two locations per senatorial zone.

He revealed that a slight shift in the initial schedule was necessary to address logistical challenges, particularly in identifying and preparing the designated CBT centres across the state. To this end, the government has set aside March 4th to finalize all necessary arrangements, ensuring a smooth and efficient examination process for all candidates.

The Otti-led administration has consistently emphasized its commitment to quality education in Abia State, and this merit-driven teacher recruitment is part of the broader efforts to strengthen the workforce in public schools.

By ensuring a transparent and well-structured selection process, the government aims to recruit the best teaching talents, ultimately improving the standard of education in the state.

With the CBT exams now scheduled and final preparations underway, prospective teachers are encouraged to remain prepared as they move closer to securing their place in the state’s educational system.
