Citizens of Anambra State have called on the State Government to come to their aid as a Baboon owned by the Centre for Psychic Healing Awka, causes mayhem and injuries to the people.
Tweeting through the handle @zomsy, the citizen narrated how the Baboon which is located near the government house, keeps attacking citizens with little or nothing done by the State Government.
It was gathered that the attack has gone on for a very long time and they called on the police and all relevant security agencies to come to the aid of the people.

A Baboon owned by Centre for Psychic Healing Awka, Anambra State, is on the loose and has been viciously attacking Children and Adults alike in Awka, Anambra State. Precisely, within Government House (St. Thomas Aquinas Cath. Church, Commissioner’s Quarters Road) axis.
These attacks have become incessant and I can confirm two of such. One occurred during the lockdown 2020. This animal jumped into a compound close to ours and attacked viciously one of the kids playing that evening. The latest was 2 days ago and my girl witnessed it and drove the latest victim (a girl going to school) to the hospital where she got medical attention.
What breaks me most is, the vicinity where this animal is causing this mayhem has got a good number of highly placed officials of ANSG and everybody’s body language is quite hurting. And I know there are other accounts of fatal attacks yet to be reported or yet to be verified.
I urge Anambarians on this platform to raise their voice to put a stop to this and bring the owners of this animal to book.
It’s appalling how they were allowed a vicious animal which they cannot take care of to live in a residential area and I wonder which govt agency approved it.
The Police and all relevant authorities should do something about this URGENTLY. This animal has tasted human blood and is still left to roam the streets to the peril of young school children and unsuspecting adults alike.
There are not less than 6 Nursery/Primary and Secondary Schools within 2km to 3km radius of where this animal is kept. It’s only a matter of time before the inevitable happens if nothing is done.
