The remains of the late High Chief Bernard Eze Ozurumba have been interred at his palatial residence in Umuichi Village Mbutu Amairinisii ancient Kingdom in Isiala Ngwa South Abia State.
The deceased, a distinguished educationist, held various positions including Secretary of the Station Council, SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church Mbutu Ngwa Parish, Traditional Prime Minister of Obi-Mbutu Autonomous Community, and Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Isiala Ngwa South, with teaching tenures at Christ the King College (CKC) Aba, Egbelu Mbutu Community School, Ntighauzor Primary School, Mgbedeala Primary School, Mbutu Ngwa Community School, Mba Community School, Omoba Central School, Omoba, and numerous other educational institutions.
In his Gospel during the Requiem Mass, Reverend Father Felix Onyeugba presented a sermon titled “Be Ready for Your Time”, highlighting that the souls of the righteous are safely in God’s hands. He encouraged the congregation to prioritize building a positive legacy in life. Several Reverend Fathers attended the burial ceremony, including Very Reverend Patrick Nwaogu, Parish Priest of S/S Peter and Paul Catholic Church Mbutu Ngwa; Very Reverend Father Jacob Ugbaja; Reverend Father Felix Onyeugba; Reverend Father Anthony Ngwaba; Reverend Father Henry Ikpeazu; and Reverend Clinton Udoubaw.










The late High Chief Bernard Ozurumba is survived by his wife, Ezinne Pauline Ozurumba, nine children, Barrister Darlington Nnabuike Ozurumba, Mrs. Caroline Ajaegbu, Mrs. Rita Enyinnaya, Victor Ozurumba, Obioma Chimaobi, Emmanuella Echels, Fabian Ozurumba, and Lilian Alozie, as well as twenty grandchildren.
