The coalition of 19 Northern Nigeria States of the National Commercial Tricycle and Commercial Owners and Riders Association (NACTMORA) has endorsed former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Moghalu, for President in 2023.
The press statement by the Chairman of the association, Alhaji Umar Ambursa and 9 States Chairman on the 7th of May 2021 revealed that it wasn’t a partisan party and so, will endorse Moghalu as it was deeply concerned by the banditry, kidnapping and terrorism happening in the country.
Kingsley, who contested for the 2019 general election under the aegis of the Youth Progressive Party, shared the news on Twitter stating that he was surprised at the gesture and endorsement by the grassroots.
The statement also revealed that its association has over 10 million members and it has seen that Nigeria is facing a serious crisis.
“The 10 million-man Keke Napep/ Okada riders in Northern Nigeria, formally the Coalition of 19 Northern States of the National Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association (NACTMORA) surprised me today with a call that I should run for President again in 2023. I deeply appreciate their kind, very significant gesture and endorsement from the grassroots. This is big! And a great birthday present too!”
Kingsley Moghalu contested for the 2019 presidential election but unfortunately, lost the election to President Muhammadu Buhari.
