In fulfilment of the promise made by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to mobilize contractors back to the site during the dry season window period, contractors have returned to different sites around the State.

He also assured that work will commence at Faulks road to further alleviate the sufferings of road users.
‘THIS IS TO INFORM ALL ABIANS THAT CONTRACTORS HAVE BEEN MOBILIZED ON DIFFERENT SITES AROUND THE STATE BY THE PEOPLE’S GOVERNOR, DR OKEZIE VICTOR IKPEAZU.
THIS IS IN FULFILMENT OF THE PLEDGE MADE BY OUR DEAR GOVERNOR THAT WORK WILL PROMPTLY RESUME ON THESE ROADS ESPECIALLY:
a) Port Harcourt Road, Aba.
b)Omuma Road, Aba
c) Cemetery Road with spur on Cameroun Road ,
d) Ehi Road
e)Railway Road
f) Ohanku Road
g)Obohia Road , and
h) The link Road between Ukwa East and Ukwa West Local Governments.
Work will also soon commence on Faulks Road Aba in furtherance of the avowed determination of the Rebuilder of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, to continually put smiles on the faces of our Dear Citizens.
Residents of Aba and Commutters are therefore urged to give these contractors maximum co-operation in order for us to achieve the desired accelerated positive result within this Dry Season.’
Residents in Aba have continually cried out over the dilapidated condition of most roads in the State especially Faulks road and Port Harcourt road which commuters use to access the Ariaria International market.
