The youths of Abala Ibeme in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State set fire to houses and shops belonging to a suspect and his supporters who stabbed their son to death over an accusation of stealing a phone.
The yet-to-be-identified deceased was stabbed to death over a phone in Umuikaa Kindred in Umuojima Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Abia State on Wednesday.
It was gathered from Newsmirror that the deceased was accused of stealing a phone by a suspect who was also allegedly in possession of the stolen phone.
The suspect stabbed the deceased when he couldn’t produce the phone which led to his death.
The suspect was apprehended by Umuojima Vigilant and subsequently handed over to the Rapid Response Squad by the youths.
