In furtherance of the state government’s ongoing delivery of food and personal protective items to vulnerable persons in the state, the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the delivery of palliatives to all communities in the state through the local governments as follows:

Concerned Transition Council Chairmen are expected to come with appropriate vehicles to collect the items for their LGAs. The items which are strictly for vulnerable persons such as widows, persons living with disabilities, tricycle (Keke) and other commercial transporters etc, are to be distributed in conjunction with Traditional Rulers, Presidents General, Women and Youth Leaders of the communities within the LGA.
According to the Honorable Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, influential individuals can also help the less privileged in their communities during this trying time.
