The Economic Value Of Cattle Over Human Life – Uche Aguoru

I have been conducting an economic research with particular reference on the contributions of cattle marketing in the country’s GDP vis a vis the Nation’s economic growth rate.

Cattle marketing has returned an insignificant contribution to our economic growth rate with “O” value on foreign exchange and I begin to wonder why the FG will place premium on cattle over and above other agricultural products, that attracts foreign exchange and colossal growth on the nation’s economy?

Why so much protection and preference to cattle over and above other livestock and to say it boldly HUMAN LIVES?

I challenge the ministry of agriculture to come open and tell us how much cattle contributes to our economic growth and GDP that gives it all the undue attention it has garnered for the past four years to the point that cattle related conflicts has taken over 10,000 human lives and no one, I repeat no one, not even a single person has been prosecuted for such mass murder, why will the entire nation live in fear, for the sake of cattle, why will people be threatened to surrender their farm lands to cattle.

Why must cattle get a superior mention in every of our national discourse?

What is the economic value of cattle over human life?
