Tragedy! Fire Razes Down Shops In Umuahia
Tragedy struck as there was a fire outbreak at Kaduna street in Umuahia, Abia State early Friday morning.

Residents revealed to Africa-on-news reporter that the fire started around 5 am and attempts were made to put down the first but none succeeded till everything was razed down.
While speaking to a particular man who witnessed the incident and didn’t want his name revealed, he said that fire service was contacted and they did their best to put out the fire when they arrived at the scene but as at that time, everything was already destroyed.
Speaking to another, she said; “the other shop owners managed to get something out of their shops but the young man that owns the dry cleaning shop came out with nothing. I wonder how he’s going to start up again, the cost of a washing machine is expensive. I wish Governor Okezie Ikpeazu will help him start up again. He’s a hardworking young man.”
Attempts to speak with one of the shop owners was denied as he was too distraught to answer any questions.
