DEPUTY GOVERNOR FELICITATES MUSLIMS AT EID-EL KABIR
As Muslims in Nigeria join their counterparts all over the world, to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir,the great Muslim Feast of faith and obedience to Almighty Allah,the Deputy Governor of Abia State,Sir Ude Oko Chukwu,has called on Abia Muslims to intensify their prayers for peace,security,unity and stability in the State and Nation at large.

The Deputy Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary,Obasi Onwukah, reminded Muslims of the need to internalise and uphold the essence of Eid-el-Kabir which premised on faith, obedience, love and charity as propounded by Prophet Mohammed.
The Deputy Governor enjoined Muslims in Abia State and Nigeria to shun acts of religious bigotry and ethnic chauvinism and embrace love, tolerance, unity and good neighbourliness, reassuring the entire Abia citizenry of the commitment of the Dr.Okezie Victor Ikpeazu-led Government in the State to ensure the security of their lives and property.
Sir Oko Chukwu while congratulating and wishing Abia Muslims well as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, further tasked all religious leaders to join hands together to deal with the challenges of the times by offering a leadership that focuses on our common good and de-emphasizes the insignificant issues that divide us, stressing that the principle of unity in diversity should be appreciated, respected and upheld.
