Police Arrest Rivers Taskforce Team Member for Killing Colleague

Following the killing of a female police officer in Rivers State yesterday, the Divers State Police Command have arrested the taskforce officer involved in the killing.

This was made known by the Police Public Relation Officer, Mr Nnamdi Omoni, who identified the late woman Sergent as Lovender Elekwachi, who was until her death, attached to Eneka Division.

According to the PRO, the accused sergeant Bitrus Osaiah has been arrested, disarmed and undergoing orderly room trial for killing his colleague.

The deceased was said to have intervened while the culprit attached to the Rivers State Taskforce Team were going around destroying and seizing goods during the lockdown enforced by the state government over COVID-19 pandemic.

Two members of the Task Force have also been arrested.
