Following the invitation/detention of the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Ibrahim Magu, President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended him.

Buhari had earlier set up a presidential panel headed by Justice Ayo Salami to probe the various allegations of corruption levelled against the EFCC boss.

The panel grilled Magu for hours on Monday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja before he was taken into police custody. He has been asked to step aside so as not to obstruct the investigation.
