Breaking News: Police Bust Criminal Hangouts, Arrest 40 Suspects

The Anambra State Police Command has paraded forty suspects following a raid by the policemen in Onitsha, Anambra State.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, who said that the raid happened ‘in furtherance to our avowed commitment towards stemming the tide of crime in the State especially during these periods of ember months, police operatives attached to Anambra State Police Command led by the Area Commander Onitsha ACP John Obuagbaka carried out series of raids at Criminal hideouts, flashpoints and other blackspots at Upper Iweka, Owerri road and Head bridge Onitsha and arrested 40 suspects for various offences ranging from alleged stealing and being in possession of weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa.’

However, the suspects will be profiled and charged to court if found wanting and the innocent among them will be released immediately.

SP Haruna also said that the command will continue to pursue the hoodlums before, during and after the Christmas until all the criminal elements refrain from criminal activities or relocate from the State.
