Tragic! Tanker Explosion Claims Life of Welder
A welder identified as Richard has died after a heavy explosion at a mechanic workshop, new road toll gate, Ogbunike in Anambra State.
A welder identified as Richard has died after a heavy explosion at a mechanic workshop, new road toll gate, Ogbunike in Anambra State.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, the deceased was trying to weld the upper compartment of an empty Fuel Mack Truck with REG number XA-740-CAL about 2:30pm on the 28th of November, 2020.
“The tanker exploded and threw away the welder two hundred metres away from the truck leaving him unconscious.”
The scene of the incident was visited by Police operatives attached to Ogbunike Division and the victim was rushed to Iyienu Hospital for treatment where he was confirmed dead by a medical Doctor.
The corpse was deposited at the mortuary while investigation is ongoing.
