The Nasarawa State Broadcasting Service has banned Christmas Carols in the station’s radio and television until the 15th of December, 2020.

The Nasarawa State Broadcasting Service has banned Christmas Carols in the station’s radio and television until the 15th of December, 2020.
The announcement was made by the General manager of the station Bar. Yusuf Musa in a notice issued to the station’s duty continuity announcers in Lafia, the State’s capital.
The directive warned the staff not to play any Christmas songs until the 15th of December 2020.
The directive does not conform to the usual tradition of the radio and television station where Christmas carols are played from the 1st of December to the end of the Christmas period.
The station like other state, federal and private media organizations across the country has been known for providing the Christian community with Christmas Carols songs which depicts the mood of the season.
