Uzodimma appreciates IMHA for speedy passage of 2021 appropriation bill

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has expressed profound gratitude to the leadership and members of Imo State House of Assembly, for the speedy passage of the 2021 appropriation bill of the state, in less than one week he laid it on the floor of the legislative arm of government.

The governor was speaking on Tuesday, December 22, at the Sam Mbakwe Expanded Executive Chambers of the Imo State Government House when the leadership of the house brought the bill for him to sign it into law.

“I wish to assure the people of Imo State that what we presented to the house as our 2021 appropriation bill was our realistic thinking of what will drive Imo State to the next level if fully implemented. It will address the unemployment problem in the state, provide infrastructure, provide counterpart funding for global partners and bridge all the gaps that exist in our local economy.

“We have a responsibility to ensure that the budget impacts the lives of every citizen of the state”.

Fielding questions from newsmen on the reason for passing a state budget in less than one week of pa presentation by the governor, the Speaker of the house, Paul Emeziem said legislators found out that the budget was perfect in all ramifications and had no choice than to pass it without any alteration.

It could be recalled that the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma had on Wednesday last week, presented to the Imo State House of Assembly, an appropriation budget estimate of three hundred and sixty-four billion, one hundred and sixty-nine million, nine hundred and seventy-two thousand, eighty-five nairas(N346,169,972,985), tagged “budget of wealth creation”, for consideration and passage
