Shops Razed, Properties Destroyed as Fire Engulf Market
Four shops have been affected by a fire incident that happened at Nodu Market by Juhel Opuno Awka in the early hours of Saturday, 13th March 2021.
Four shops have been affected by a fire incident that happened at Nodu Market by Juhel Opuno Awka in the early hours of Saturday, 13th March 2021.

The fire destroyed tailoring machines, provision shop, carpentry equipment and other valuable items.
Luckily no casualty was recorded as the fire was contained and extinguished by locals.
Police operatives led by DPO B Division Awka CSP Sani Ahmed who mobilised to the area said that investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the fire and damages incurred.
Haruna Mohammed, the Police Public Relation Officer in Anambra State stated that the ‘Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Bala FSI has reiterated a clarion call to “Ndi Anambra” and residents alike to always apply safety precautions especially by switching off all electrical appliances in their homes, business premises and workplaces to avert similar ugly incidents which could also lead to loss of lives and injuries.’
