Following the attack on the house of the governor of Imo State, in Omuma, Oru
East LGA Area, the Imo state commissioner for information, Declan Emelumba has said that the perpetrators will be made to face the music.
Emelumba said some group of hoodlums attempted to attack the country home of Senator Hope Uzodimma, to raise it down while describing the attack as politically sponsored.
“But fortunately very gallant security men attached to the governor’s house were able to repel the attempt, resulting to gunfire, adding that the security operatives were able to control the damage they wanted to cause.

“The truth about the matter is that it was a failed attempt to attack the governor’s house. If you go to Omuma now, you will see the governor’s house standing firm and intact. He said there is one casualty on the side of the security operatives who repelled the attack, describing it as what normally happens when security men repel the attack of such magnitude”.
Emelumba said preliminary investigations have revealed that the attack was politically sponsored.
He said the governor has ordered an expedient investigation to unravel the masterminds and sponsors, hinting that the culprits will be apprehended and made to taste the full wrath of the law.
He called for calm, saying, “what happened in Omuma shows that this government is equal to the task, that we are alive, we are not sleeping and any such attacks will be equally repelled.
So there is no cause for alarm. People should go about their normal businesses, as the security agencies are equal to the task and government is on top of the situation”, Emelumba quipped.
