Traditional rulers in Imo State have, in the strongest terms, condemned the recent attack on the country home of the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
Rising from a meeting at the Eze Imo secretariat, Mbari street, Owerri, the traditional rulers mandated security agencies in the state to carry out an expeditious investigation to bring the sponsors and perpetrators and of the heinous crime to book.
The Chairman, Imo State Traditional Institution and Community Policing, Eze Emmanuel Okeke, read out the resolution of the meeting to newsmen.

According to the resolution, the traditional rulers agreed with the governor that the attack was politically motivated.
They however called on all agrieved politicians in the state to sheath their swords and leave the governor and his team to work.
“Otherwise, we will invoke the wrath of the gods of our land and lay courses on them. Our governor is God-sent to Imo State and any attack on him is an attack on Ndieze and entire Imolites”.
They called on the youths not to allow themselves to be used by the selfish politicians for such evil action.
“Imo State traditional institution and Community Policing will continue to support and stand with our unstoppable, unbreakable and unshakeable governor, especially in this challenging time”.
