Politicians Don’t Believe They Can Be Voted Out —Saraki

The former Senate President of Nigeria, Alhaji Bukola Saraki has stated that typical Nigerian Politicians do not believe they can be voted out.

Speaking at the Independence Day celebration where he played host to youths in his home in Abuja, he told the youths that they have the right and the numbers to decide who leads them.

Mr Saraki made it clear that if youths decide to take ownership of the political process, they will win in a landslide victory.

“Young people must decide to take ownership of the political process. You have the numbers to decide who leads you at every level.

You also have the numbers to demand a seat at the decision-making table!”

“If you vote for the right kind of person, he will know your capabilities and when he chooses a candidate, you will be chosen and you will be able to make a difference. That’s how to form a platform. But the thing is politicians do not believe you can vote them out, that’s the reality.

“For our country to move forward, we must prioritize the democratization of opportunities for all Nigerians!”

This was the crux of my message earlier today when I spent #IndependenceDay with several young Nigerians at my home in Abuja.”

Nigeria celebrated its 61st Independence Day which was marked by a celebration at the Eagles Square in Abuja by President Muhammadu Buharu, Vice President Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, former President Goodluck Jonathan and a host of others.
