Many Injured as Gas Station Explodes in Onitsha
Many people have been injured as a gas station located at Awka road in Onitsha, Anambra State exploded.
Many people have been injured as a gas station located at Awka road in Onitsha, Anambra State exploded.

It was gathered that another filling station was badly affected by the explosion which occurred on Sunday evening but two other filling stations were saved by the men of the Anambra State Fire Service who responded promptly to the distress call.
According to an eyewitness, the explosion occurred at 7:30 pm and also affected a mechanic workshop that shared a boundary with the affected filling station which was consumed by fire.
Fortunately, there was no loss of lives but over 15 vehicles were burnt.
The affected gas station includes Haris gas plant and Christee petrol station.
Meanwhile, the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
