APCON Set to Sanction Sterling Bank for Comparing Christ Resurrection to Agege Bread
The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON, has promised to sanction Sterling Bank PLC for an offensive advert in which the bank compared the resurrection of Jesus Christ to Agege bread.
The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON, has promised to sanction Sterling Bank PLC for an offensive advert in which the bank compared the resurrection of Jesus Christ to Agege bread.

A statement by APCON on Monday revealed that the bank made a mockery of a religion which is against the law which states that no religion or faith should be ridiculed.

The statement also revealed that the distasteful advertisement was never submitted to the Advertising Standard Panel, ASP, for approval before it was aired.
