About 200 Party Goers Arrested Over Cannabis Party
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a group of people who were attending a cannabis party code named ‘4/20 Party’ in Asokoro, Abuja on Wednesday.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a group of people who were attending a cannabis party code named ‘4/20 Party’ in Asokoro, Abuja on Wednesday.

According to the information gathered, the party-goers were commemorating World Marijuana Day on the 20th of April 2022.

The operatives of NDLEA in collaboration with the Department of State Service raided the Diplomatic Suite hotel where the party was taking place and arrested about 200 party-goers.
The Director of Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, Femi Babafemi stated that the organisers of the hemp party including two ladies were also arrested.
Mr Femi also revealed that the group are being profiled and interviewed. He also made it clear that quantities of cannabis were found in the venue.
