Gbajabiamila Congratulates Obasa, Meranda on Election as Lagos Assembly Speaker, Deputy Speaker

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila has congratulated Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa on his reelection as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Gbajabiamila said the election of the Lagos Assembly speaker for the third time has shown that he has the support and confidence of his fellow legislators.

Gbajabiamila recalled how Obasa became speaker in 2015 and retained the seat in 2019, noting that to retain the position for a third term is a vote of confidence on his leadership and legislative dexterity.

Speaker Gbajabiamila said Lagos State is lucky to have a man of Obasa’s standing as Speaker at this time because “he understands the politics of the state and carries his members along in serving the people.”

Gbajabiamila wished Obasa a fruitful and impactful legislative session ahead, and more wisdom from the Almighty Allah.

The Speaker also sent his congratulations to Hon. Mojisola Meranda who also emerged as the Deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly.
