Tragic! Containers Fall Off Truck, Kill One, Injure Others

An unidentified man has lost his life following an accident where a truck with two 20-foot containers fell off the flatbed due to a mechanical fault at Anthony-Oke, inward Gbagada in Lagos State on Saturday, 25th November 2023.

It was gathered that the operatives of the Response Team at Onipanu of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, were deployed to the area.

Three of the four males were injured while one died due to the impact of the accident. The victims have been rushed to the Gbagada General Hospital after receiving first-aid treatment from LASEMA.

Meanwhile, the corpse was bagged and handed over to SEHMU for onward transfer to the morgue while the containers were evacuated from the road with the Agency’s heavy-duty Forklift while the truck was recovered with a LASTMA tow truck.
