Niger Hunger Protest: Police Release Masterminds
The detained masterminds of the protest held in Minna, Niger State, 30-year-old woman, Aisha Jibrin 57-year-old Fatima Aliyu, and 43-year-old Fatima Isyaku, have been released by the Nigeria Police.

This was made known by Omoyele Sowore, the convener of #RevolutionNow movement and the owner of SaharaReporters on Thursday.
He cautioned the Nigeria Police on arresting and detaining Nigerians who are protesting for their survival and well-being.

“FREE AT LAST: The heroines of the Niger. Three women arrested for organizing hardships and hunger protests in Niger State have been released according to the Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago. The @PoliceNG should desist from arresting and or detaining Nigerians protesting for their survival or matters affecting their wellbeing and those of their country men and women. #RevolutionNow”
Newsleverage had reported that the three women were arrested alongside 22 others for protesting over the high cost of living stating that the protesters were violent towards the police.
