Children, Adults Protest Bandits Attack in Katsina State

Children have taken to the streets to protest the attack and killing of their parents in Wurma Community, Katsina State, North West today following three days of intense bloodshed.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the children, armed with sticks stated that their families and community were deserted due to the activities of the armed bandits.

Elders in the community who also protested on Friday revealed that four persons have been killed so far.

They stated that despite the attack on the villagers for three days, the security personnel had not come to their rescue.

In less than a week after Governor Dikko Umaru Radda maintained that the government was winning the war against insurgency, two farming communities were attacked with over a dozen persons kidnapped.

The bandits went further to set the houses ablaze while their owners watched in agony from their hiding places.

A distressed father also revealed how bandits attacked their home and abducted his whole family who were about to have their dinner.
