Police Smash Armed Insurgency Gang, Arrest Two
Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command in collaboration with the vigilante group in Awka-Etiti, Idemili South LGA have arrested two members of a deadly insurgency gang after it gave them a chase on Tuesday.

It was gathered from a statement made available by the Police spokesperson DSP Tochukwu Ikenga that the security operatives gave them a chase until they ran into a ditch.
The Police recovered four AK-47 Rifles and one Toyota Highlander SUV with Reg. No. Lagos GGE 408 GZ.

Similarly, another team of Police Officers also working with the local vigilante intercepted a Toyota Venza Car Reg. No.Lagos EKY 746 JB at Neni in Anaocha LGA.
However, the driver of the car fled on sighting the joint team while 34 live cartridges were recovered from the vehicle.
