Troops Rescue Sixteen Kidnapped Victims in Kaduna
Sixteen kidnapped victims were rescued by troops of the Nigerian Army on the 17th of March 2024 in Tantatu Community Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Sixteen kidnapped victims were rescued by troops of the Nigerian Army on the 17th of March 2024 in Tantatu Community Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to a statement by Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations made available to newsmen on Monday, the troops who were deployed in 1 Division area foiled the kidnap attempt and rescued the abductors while responding to a distress call at about 10:30 pm.

It was gathered that the insurgents had attacked the community and abducted some of the villagers.
Upon arriving at the scene, the troops pursued the insurgents relentlessly, engaging in a fierce exchange of gunfire, and ultimately rescuing 16 hostages.
Meanwhile, the troops are still combing the bushes in search and rescue operations to rescue other victims.
