NLC Announces Nationwide Strike Over New Minimum Wage
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC has announced a nationwide strike over inability of tripartite Committee to agree on new minimum wage.
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC has announced a nationwide strike over inability of tripartite Committee to agree on new minimum wage.

Thw strike which was announced by the TUC President Festus Osifo on Friday in a joint news conference at the NLC headquarters in Abuja will begin on June 3, 2024.

According to the labour leaders, the decision follows the expiration of an earlier request to the Federal Government to conclude all negotiations for a new minimum wage before the end of May.
The organised labour proposed N494,000 while the FG offered to pay N60,000 as the new minimum wage.
