Fubara Acquires Gunboats to Fight Sea Piracy, Oil Theft
To fight sea piracy and oil theft, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has acquired six (6) gunboats to help in combating oil bunkering in the State.
To fight sea piracy and oil theft, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has acquired six (6) gunboats to help in combating oil bunkering in the State.

He made this known while hosting the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, at the Government House, Port Harcourt, on Wednesday.




While highlighting his efforts to stop the theft of oil, he pledged a stronger collaboration to secure Rivers State and boost oil production.
In a statement by Jay Martins, aide to the Governor on Media and Publicity, he reported that General Musa, in turn, inaugurated two defense committees, stressing synergy among security forces to protect national assets and ensure Rivers state remains peaceful and prosperous.
