NSCDC Busts Illegal Oil Refinery in Abia, Arrests Two
The Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG SIS) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended two suspects in connection with an illicit artisanal oil refinery discovered in the swampy forest of Umuorie/Umuakala communities in Abia State.

The illegal refinery, equipped with over 20 active local cooking drum ovens, was dismantled, and wooden boats destroyed during the raid.
Similarly on Thursday, operatives of the NSCDC arrested nine suspects over oil theft in Umuorie/Isimiri, Asa/Obuzor axis Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.
The operatives also destroyed stolen crude oil at the Isimiri/Umuorie community gas flow station.
