Police Arrest Stepmother for Causing Grievous Harm on Stepdaughter
A woman identified as Ihsanatu Shaaibu has been arrested for physically abusing and causing grievous injuries to 5-year-old Stepdaughter Fa’iza Bala.
A woman identified as Ihsanatu Shaaibu has been arrested for physically abusing and causing grievous injuries to 5-year-old Stepdaughter Fa’iza Bala.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Thursday, the suspect was arrested following a viral video on social media.
He stated that the suspect will be prosecuted as soon as investigations are concluded.
“CHILD ABUSE: In relation to the viral video where a woman identified as physically abused and caused grievous injuries to her stepdaughter, a 5-year-old. The Suspects have been arrested today, Thursday 9th Jan 2025, and will be prosecuted as soon as investigations are concluded. We will keep you abreast of the proceedings. Thank you”
On Wednesday, a teacher, Stella Nwadigbo, was arrested for assaulting a 3-year-old pupil after she was also caught on video. She was arraigned on Thursday and granted a bail of N200,000.
