Police Mourn Fallen Officer as Team Neutralizes Armed Bandits
A member of the Benue State Police team, Inspector Terfa Anyiatse has died following a raid across the state as part of a concerted effort to combat criminal activities and enhance public safety.
A member of the Benue State Police team, Inspector Terfa Anyiatse has died following a raid across the state as part of a concerted effort to combat criminal activities and enhance public safety.

In a statement on Thursday, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi noted that the Inspector had sustained injuries owing to the gun duel between the Police team and the armed bandits.
The Command, through its Operation Zenda Joint Taskforce encountered an ambush set by armed bandits while en route to a discovered criminal hideout in Agwabi, Tombo Ward, Buruku Local Government Area on March 19, 2025, at about 2 AM.

Fortunately, the Police team subdued the gang and neutralized 12 bandits while others escaped.
“Further raids conducted around Daudu and Makurdi resulted in the recovery of 7 locally made pistols, 3 AK-47 rifles, the arrest of 5 suspected robbers, and 32 suspected cultists.”
