Police Arrest Controversial Singer Portable Over ‘Threat to Life’ of Fuji Star Osupa

Popular and controversial singer Mr Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, also known as “Portable,” has been arrested following a threat to life allegation filed by Mr Okunola Saheed, commonly known as “Osupa.”

According to SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, the Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, the Kwara Command has taken lawful steps to investigate the allegations by due process.

The petition includes serious charges such as criminal defamation, incitement, character assassination, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, and the use of abusive and insulting language.

The arrest was carried out under a legal order from a Magistrate Court in Ilorin. Operatives from the Command apprehended the suspect in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Saturday, April 13, 2025, at approximately 7:25 PM.

He was immediately transported to Ilorin for further investigation. Upon arrival, the suspect provided a statement in the presence of legal representatives from both parties. He is currently in custody, and arrangements are being made to charge him in court without delay.
